I have two railway tracks that need to cross. On both of them, trains are going to drive in both directions. One of them has a loop at each end, and a train with only one locomotive on it; the other does not have loops, and there's going to be a train with two locomotives on it one at each end of the train.

Right now only the track with the loops is active, and there is a crossing in the middle. No matter what I try, I can only get the train to use the crossing once; afterwards it always gives me "no path". I understand how the rail signal block system works.

I've read the guide on the wiki multiple times. I've come to the conclusion that it is not, in fact, possible to have two bidirectional tracks cross with working rail signals.

Please tell me I am wrong and show me how to do it properly. Showing 1 - 7 of 7 comments. Place a chain signal at the 4 entrances of the intersection block, and regular signals at the 4 exits. You either forgot matching singals if you place signals only one one side of a track then it becomes a one way track or placed the stations in the wrong place.

To attach rolling stock, whether a wagon or a locomotive, the player may either prepare to place one near an existing train, where a green graphic will show the player that the stock will be attached, showing a connection between the train and the new stock. Alternatively, the player may manually connect rolling stock to trains with the rolling stock connect key, if the cargo wagon was placed far away from a train.

Rolling stock can likewise be disconnected with the rolling stock disconnect key. Train stations are the only place where trains can be loaded or unloaded when they are in automatic mode.
