Spiritual grounding is an essential part of life. Even if you do not think you are a spiritual person. This article is going to tell you my thoughts on what it is and why it is crucial. Having spiritual grounding means having a solid spiritual connection to the Earth. Although that may sound quite good, being able to float around without a care in the world, not being grounded, or being ungrounded can have some rather nasty side effects. Grounding is an essential part of life in general, as well as if you are a spiritualist.

There are a few reasons why you may need to ground yourself, also why you may become ungrounded in the first place. Have you ever felt any of the following? If you have and there is no medical reason for them, then they may have arisen from the need to ground yourself:.

As you can see, the list above does tend to indicate the need for grounding if you have any of those symptoms more than usual. That is because these symptoms are not only caused by being ungrounded. Take washing the dishes; for example, you drift away while reaching into the bowl with something to clean, and before you know it, you are running your hand down a kitchen knife!! Clearly, this is not a good situation. Things get even worse when you start looking at more involved and complex tasks such as driving, operating machinery. However, this only covers the general side of things.

Not only will grounding yourself stop you from having any of these effects, but it will also keep you in the here and now of what you are doing. So if you are working with spirit and you have protected and grounded yourself properly, it will give you the best experience for you. Meaning that you will remember more of your feelings and emotions as well as hearing, feeling, or sensing any messages that you may have come through that you may have otherwise have missed.

Now that you know why you may be ungrounded, and what effect it may have on you, we need to look at a couple of the ways that you can ground yourself and keep you that way. You should do this meditation every time that you start to do any work with energy. It is an easy thing to do, but likewise, it is easy to forget to do it.

So try and make it a routine to ground and protect yourself every single time you work.Here are a few popular techniques to practice that will strengthen and maintain your energy level, but feel free to use any other method you feel more comfortable with. The important factor is that you use or do something, rather than nothing. We are entering the summer, so I advise you to do it barefoot on land, on the beach or in a meadow. Continue with gentle neck rotations that will relieve the upper body area, seeking to relieve the habitual rigidity of expression and thinking…. This will help us imagine a vertical axis, a thread that enters the crown of the head follows the spine and falls to weight by the center of the hip and pelvis, between the legs, to the floor.

Imagine this axis, when we close our eyes and induce a few small swings or oscillations back and forth, to one side and the other so that our body is reunited with its central axis and balanced more intuitively.

We pay attention to our breathing as if we could discover it, simply observing, effortless, just paying attention to it. Now focus your attention on the base of the spine, focus the energy of the first chakra that is your root, bring attention to the feet; they are placed firmly on the ground, and the back is straight.

Now imagine that from your feet begin to grow roots, which slowly rise and intertwine to your legs. Now imagine becoming a tree, feel the heat that gets louder and stronger and your energy becomes more intense. The power of the Earth rises and passes through it, flows into you. Feel it flow and control it with your breath. When you feel well rooted, bring your attention and your hands on your fourth chakra. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, for all the time you want, always smiling.

At first, you feel strange and weird but, in reality, your heart has an expanding action and connects to Divine joy faster.Grounding Grounding gives you a strong base and centred energy to begin psychic work or meditation, it is how we shed the dross of the day and prepare ourselves to work safely, in the moment.

Grounding Meditation Place your feet flat on the floor and breathe in deeply. On the exhale, picture the excess energy flowing out of your feet and into the Earth. Visualise roots growing from within the earth, wrapping firmly around your feet and ankles, up around your calves to the knees. Imagine leaving a powerful heater on maximum burn all the time, something will give out eventually.

Psychic development should not be taken lightly, it is a commitment to yourself, and corners should not be cut. It is extremely dangerous to dabble in spirit communication without preparing yourself thoroughly and arming your mind with the protection it needs.

There are forces that can and will do harm if you walk around opened up all the time — think of it like an internet connection with no firewall or anti-virus protection — sooner or later there will be a problem.

Spirit on the whole will respect your mental and physical space, and if you ask not to receive certain methods of communication, or ask to be left alone at certain times e. If an important message needs to be given then there may be exceptions. For example, I often ask Spirit not to materialise in front of me but to speak to me or show images and channel emotion to me instead.
